Sitka Softball Association

A few Mudball updates for you. We found out today that there will be an Allen Marine charter from Juneau to Sitka and back. We don’t have the final details yet, but the boat will leave Juneau on Friday afternoon (9/4) around 2 or so and leave Sitka for Juneau on Monday evening (9/7) around 6pm. We don’t have the exact figures yet, but it looks like we should be able to keep the cost of the round trip under $100. Once more details are known we will send out a flyer. Tina Lee will be coordinating the trip on the Juneau end, so we will include her contact and payment information. Please do not contact Allen Marine directly, they do not handle the arrangements with passengers.

Totem Square Inn will be offering special rates for the weekend. We’ve been told $89/night for one to two people (twin beds) or $99/night for one to two people (full beds.) Their phone number is 747-3693. The rate code is “MUD”.

We are still holding out hope that our new fields will be available for use that weekend. That said, we would recommend getting your registration information and fees to Rachael Kirby as soon as possible. Should we need to put a limit on the number of teams, it will be a first come, first served basis.
